Well, what I'm gonna do today is write about my adventures that I just recently had in OoT. The part where you get Epona (Link's horse)
Link just woke up from the seven years thing, which I think is funny because I can imagine Link running around saying "Yay! I'm a 19 year old with a 12 year old education!" Anyway, so go to Termina Field, and play the Sun's Song so it turns to night. Go into the ranch and you hear someone singing. Maybe that girl's in some sort of trance. Her name is Malon.
Get right inside her personal space bubble (Seriously. You have to be like, two inches away from her for this to work) And whip our the Ocarina. I think that she'll teach you Epona's song if you don't know it already, and then she'll give you a backstory about the ranch, and how this weirdo named Ingo kinda took it from her dad.
Go back into the little outside hallway and go into the house that isn't made of wood. You'll find a ton of cukkos (I think that's what there called) and go up the stairs into the door.
Once in there, you see a guy sleeping. Luckily, you can't see his face, which is actually kind of nice because this guy looks extremely strange. Talk to him (What kind of guy talks in his sleep? This guy.) He'll mutter something about how he hates a song. (Epona's song) Me, being the mischievous kind of guy I am. I played the song a couple times just to irk him. (Nothing actually happens though.) Go outside, play the Sun's song, and make it the next morning.
You see that guy who was in the bed last night, but this time you see his face. I want to to take a good look at this guy. He's freaky lookin'. I mean, he looks like a mix between Mario, Wario, Waluigi, and with one eye bigger than the other. Get a lot of rupees (99) by running into his bedroom, breaking the pots, and stealing the rupees. You need a lot for this.
Talk to him, and say that you want to ride the horses. DON'T hop on any of them. First play Epona's song and a reddish horse will come to you. That's Epona. Hop on, ride around for about 20 seconds to get used to riding. While still on the horse, go and talk to Ingo.Get ready for a race.
You have to wager 50 rupees, so try not to have to do this many times. Follow him close behind until he turns the first corner. He doesn't hug the corner so take this opportunity and quickly cut in front of him. Don't EVER have less then 2 carrots to use. After you win, he'll throw a tantrum. (Ingo, didn't your mother ever tell you to be a good sport?) He'll say he wants a rematch. This time for all the marbles: Epona.
This time, things get a little more interesting. He goes TONS faster, but if you follow the same plan as earlier you'll have a good chance of winning. After you win, it'll zoom in on him throwing a tantrum this time. (Wow. He has a lot of hair on his neck.)
After that, he'll lock you in the ranch. Man, who kidnaps a 19 year old? He does. Time to play some break-out here and jump the fence to the left hand side of the ranch. There will be a cool cut-scene. You're free!
I dunno about you, but I really wanted to go back and rub it in his face. When you go back, you'll notice he's a little different than last time you saw him. He was weird before, but now? Well, let's put it this way. If you go to my dictionary, look up "weirdo," there will be a picture of him there. Talk to him and he'll say something along the lines of "My name is Ingo. I'm honored to work here!" Go talk to Malon, who is singing again, and she'll say something about how you saved the ranch, and that her dad is coming back. That's good. Once again, Link has saved the day.
